No civic pride in Stourport

WE moved from dirty, vandalised, graffiti- ridden Birmingham to Stourport last year. But sadly it is becoming just like parts of Birmingham, down at heal and with rundown shopfronts.

Sadly when I want to bring our family or friends to see the beautiful area we moved to, we have to plan our journey to avoid the high street and more and more areas every day.

The recent episode of graffiti only heightened the sorry state. I wrote to the council about it and they said they would look into it, but only council property.

This is a sad state of affairs - no civic pride.

Schools need to do more in educating children regarding litter/graffiti or we need to get people power' going.

NAME SUPPLIED Stourport
