THANK-YOU Mr Gilbert for reassurances on the refurbishment of the weavers cottages in the Horsefair and we await the action from the district council shortly.

On the issue of funding, surely visitors flocking to see the cottages will pay an admission fee to cover some of the work, staffing and maintenance costs – although I am not sure where they will park now that the car park has been built on.

It would be nice to have a former carpet worker open them and to have the refurbished buildings with a glass panelled frontage so we can view the interiors clearly as we sit in the Horsefair traffic jams!

Wyre Forest Community Housing have applied to demolish them anyway and build 'mock weavers cottages'.
