Missed opportunity

I am in complete agreement with Mrs D. Porter’s letter (Letters, July 31) regarding the recently refurbished Co-op in Bewdley.
By using the former Spar supermarket, they could have provided Bewdley residents with a much wider variety of groceries, thus saving trips to Kidderminster and Stourport.
They are now competing with other local traders by selling cards, flowers, newspapers to name a few items. What a missed opportunity.
