COUNCILLORS, do you want our Worcestershire countryside littered with unwanted boxes in the next few months?

Would it not be more desirable to have these boxes collected by the council or by people serving community sentences.

The boxes could be taken to a central area and steam cleaned, then forwarded onto overseas aid agencies.

They could fill them with clothing or food items, secure the lids with plastic ties and dispatch to aid victims.

Even the boxes would be of value for victims to store their few possessions.

I am sure this will be cheaper than the council having a major clean-up campaign in the next year or two.
