Fed up with burning ambitions of neighbours

WITH the weather turning fair and warm I find that with it comes a seasonal nuisance – garden fires.

Why must some people burn rubbish and cause their neighbours’ houses to stink when they open their windows, not to mention having to put laundry back in the washing machine after it was hanging outside to dry.

The area on the East of Kidderminster in which I live is a designated smokeless zone, a fact easily confirmed by the lack of chimneys on every house.

Can’t these people take their rubbish to the tip or hire a skip like everybody else?

I never understood what is meant by ‘smokeless zone’. What is meant by ‘smoke’ – chimneys, garden fire, bonfire, barbeque, etc and where exactly does this zone start & end?
