Stourbridge police chase ends with one detained after car overturns

A MAN has been arrested after crash in Stourbridge which left a car on its side.

The drama, involving a stolen Vauxhall car, happened on Birmingham Street at around 12.30pm today (Thursday October 25).

The suspect vehicle came to a halt on its side after being in collision with a set of traffic lights near Stamford Road.

The car, a Tigra, had previously been stolen from a driveway in Wood Street, Kidderminster, by a man claiming to be interested in buying it.

A police chased the car as it travelled at high speed along the A491 and through Hagley, where it was involved in a minor collision before heading towards Stourbridge.

Police officers flooded into the area as the incident continued and a man, believed to be the driver of the car, was detained following the crash in Stourbridge.
