A DRAMATIC police chase ended after a car which was believed to have been stolen in Kidderminster crashed.

According to West Mercia Police, the Vauxhall Tigra was taken last Thursday from a driveway in Wood Street by a man who said he was interested in buying it.

Police followed the car as it travelled along the A491 and through Hagley, where it was involved in a minor collision before heading towards Stourbridge, where it crashed on Birmingham Street at about 12.30pm.

A man was detained following the crash. He was questioned in Kidderminster and released on bail until Wednesday, November 14, while the investigation continues.
