Tree of light: Swan Centre manager Ros Darby and Kemp Hospice fundraising manager Richard Brown launch the campaign.
KEMP Hospice has launched its annual Light up a Life campaign and is inviting people to remember and celebrate someone special by hanging a message on one of three Christmas trees.
The trees, located in Kidderminster’s Swan Centre, Bewdley Museum and Stourport Co-operative, are an opportunity for people to dedicate a light and write a message.
The dedications will also be recorded in a special book which will be displayed at Kidderminster, Bewdley and Stourport libraries.
Anyone who takes part in the Light up a Life campaign is invited to an event at Kidderminster Town Hall on Saturday, December 15 where the trees will be blessed.
Christmas carols and readings will also take place providing a time for reflection.
Kate Wilkinson, fundraiser at KEMP Hospice, said: “This year we are also having lights shining out from the Hospice in Mason Road, Kidderminster and as more dedications are received, more lights will be added.
“Please remember this campaign is open to everyone not just those who have experienced hospice care.”
To make a dedication call 01562 756066, email kate.wilkinson@kemphospice.org.uk or visit kemphospice.org.uk.
Forms are also available from KEMP Hospice, all four charity shops and the Swan Centre, Kidderminster.
