Four men arrested in Blakedown

FOUR men were arrested in Blakedown in the early hours of this morning.

The Eastern European men, who all have addresses in the Lye area of the Black Country, were arrested in Wannerton Close at about 3.30am on suspicious of going equipped to carry out theft.

They were arrested after being spotted acting suspiciously by a police patrol and remain in custody at Kidderminster police station assisting with inquiries.

Officers recently carried out a crime prevention operation in Blakedown following several recent burglaries in the village.

They identified vulnerable properties and gave residents security advice.

ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) technology was used on the A456 to target vehicles being driven illegally and those known to be used by criminals.
