LEAD worth £5,000 has been stolen from the roof of a school in Wolverley.
The incident happened at Heathfield School, Wolverley Road, between 5pm on Monday and 7.30am on Tuesday.
Thieves climbed on to the roof and stripped three sq m of lead from one area and smaller amounts from across the whole roof.
PC Stephen Harris said: “We would like to hear from anyone who remembers seeing people acting suspiciously around the school on the Monday evening or Tuesday morning.
“We would also like to know if anyone saw any vehicles parked near to the school in unusual circumstances.”
