A MAN has been seriously injured after falling from the roof of a house in Kidderminster yesterday.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Lea Bank Avenue at about 10.30am.
The man was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham with a serious head injury.
An ambulance and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford with a doctor on board attended the scene.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance said: “The man, in his 50s, had fallen two storeys from the roof of a house onto concrete floor.
“The man sustained a serious head injury. The crew and doctor anaesthetised the man on scene to stabilise his condition before he was fully immobilised with a neck collar and spinal board.
“Crews transferred the man to the awaiting helicopter, which had landed on the grounds of a nearby school, before being airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further assessment and treatment.”
