A YOUNG stylist from a Bewdley salon has been blown away to have landed a place working with L’Oreal hair professionals.

Lucy Potter, from Abacus Hair, in High Street, has shown she is a cut above the rest after winning a place on the L’Oreal Colour iD Artist Team.

The 20-year-old was shortlisted and then selected from hundreds of hopeful candidates to undertake a twoyear development programme, after proving she was passionate about the industry.

The beauty firm invites hairdressers from around the UK and Ireland to audition to be part of the team.

Miss Potter said: “I am constantly pushing the boundaries and looking for new ways to express my creativity through my hairdressing and the i-D Artist programme has helped me take that next step.

“I can’t wait to work with my hairdressing icons in the UK and internationally. It’s an incredible opportunity for me and the salon.”

Miss Potter will join fashion events, photo shoots and exclusive training workshops, as well as being mentored by some of the industry’s leading artists.
