A STOURPORT-based children’s charity celebrated its 10th anniversary with an event for staff and volunteers.
Mentor Link recruits volunteer mentors to support young people in schools. It currently supports about 350 young people each week in schools across Worcestershire.
Staff and trustees presented flowers and a cake to the chief executive during the celebrations in Droitwich.
Chief executive Andrea Maddocks said: “Mentor Link provides an invaluable service to children in the region which is recognised by schools and families alike.
“Our 10th anniversary is an important milestone for the charity and the beginning of an exciting period of expansion and development. My thanks to all staff, volunteers and trustees who are so dedicated to the children we support.”
Stourport-based band Dryftwood provided the music and entertainment at the celebration event.
The charity recently received funding from the Big Lottery Fund to expand its services into the West Midlands.
