Man attacked woman after being ejected from club
4:51pm Friday 22nd March 2013 in Local
A BUILDING worker attacked a woman after being ejected from a Kidderminster night club, Worcester Crown Court was told.
Perry Lowell denied that he had punched Chantal Doyle but agreed that he head-butted her causing cuts, said Paul Whitfield, prosecuting.
Lowell, aged 23, of Hazelwood Close, Kidderminster, pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm in an incident in the early hours of September 7 last year.
Charles Hamer, defending, said alcohol was Lowell's downfall but he had carried out unpaid work in previous convictions. Lowell had a £500-a-week job and was well able to pay financial penalties.
Judge Michael Cullum imposed an 18-month community order with £750 court costs and £500 compensation to Miss Doyle for her injuries.
He also told Lowell to carry out 105 hours unpaid work and be under the supervision of the probation service for 18 months.
