THE Midlands-based rail champion, Campaign for Rail, is holding its inaugral annual meeting tomorrow at the Atrium, Moor Street Station, Birmingham.

It starts at 11am with doors opening for registration 10.30am. The meeting is open to the public.

Chad Collins of Chiltern Railways, which runs MainLine services between Kidderminster, Stourbridge, Birmingham, Solihull, Warwick and Leamington Spa will be guest speaker.

He will give a presentation on Stations, Past, Present and Future, looking in particular at the stations on its network and looking at how they will be modernised in the future.

Rail passengers will be able to ask Mr Collins questions about the company’s plans over the coming years.

Moor Street Station is in the heart of Birmingham city centre and is about 10 minutes’ walk from the new entrance to Birmingham New Street Station.

Moor Street has won a Railway Heritage Award for its restoration and is the hub of Chiltern’s Birmingham-London operations.
