7:10am Saturday 7th September 2013 in Local
FEMALE cyclists will have the chance to get fit, active and improve their skills in Stourport this autumn.
A professional coach will be guiding women around the cycle track at Stourport Sports club once a week starting next Wednesday.
The two-hour sessions, organised by Wyre Forest District Council, will be held between 9am and 11am each Wednesday until October 23.
Participants are asked to bring their own bike and helmet but the sports club can supply equipment if booked in advance.
Councillor Ian Hardiman, Wyre Forest District Council’s cabinet member for community well-being said: “All cycling abilities are welcome to join the six-week programme.
“Whether you’ve never ridden a bike before and want to learn away from the road or you’re an expert wanting to improve your fitness, come on down and get involved.
"We would like to encourage people to book a place in advance but you can also turn up on the day. “
