Kidnap case man denied bail
8:21am Wednesday 4th September 2013 in Local
A FATHER-of-two accused of being part of a gang who kidnapped a man in Kidderminster and beating him with hammers has been temporarily denied bail.
Jaguar worker Tehery Mahmood, 37, of Mears Drive, Birmingham, is among six men accused of kidnapping the man in Kidderminster before taking him to an empty shipping container, where he was badly beaten.
He lodged an application for bail at Worcester Crown Court yesterday, which was denied by Judge Robert Juckes QC.
The judge said, however, the application could be heard again in two weeks, along with any of his five co-defendants, who also want to apply for bail.
Mahmood will return to court for the hearing on September 17. The group, who are all currently in custody, will enter their pleas on November 11.
