11:08am Tuesday 10th September 2013 in Local
A MAN’s cheekbone was fractured after he was assaulted in Kidderminster.
The 25-year-old victim had been on a night out when he was assaulted between 4am and 6am last Saturday, possibly in the area of New Road and the Tesco superstore in the town.
He attended Worcestershire Royal Hospital and was found to have broken his cheekbone, which might need follow-up surgery. He also had swelling and bruising to his face.
Det Con Phil Christie of West Mercia Police said: “After the victim went to hospital, the severity of his injuries became clear. We are, therefore, trying to establish exactly when and where he was assaulted, as well as trace the offender or offenders.
“Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact me in Kidderminster CID, on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident 460-s-070913 or ring the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.”
