Conservationists needed at Habberley Valley Nature Reserve
7:20am Saturday 28th September 2013 in Local
NATURE-lovers are being asked to join a new conservation group to help improve and maintain the Habberley Valley Nature Reserve.
Wyre Forest District Council is looking for people to join a group to take part in projects at the site.
Rangers will spend one day a week for four weeks training and giving guidance to the group who will then continue as conservation working parties.
An information session will be held on Tuesday at 6pm at the Habberley Valley car park, in Habberley Road, Kidderminster.
There will be a short talk about the reserve and members will get the chance to have a say about the sort of projects they would like to see.
Councillor Ian Hardiman, cabinet member for community well-being, said: “For local residents who have a special interest in nature this is a good way to get involved in the management of the site and spend time outdoors with like minded people.
“Join us at Habberley Valley car park to find out more about this wonderful project.”
