STOURPORT residents are being invited to a care home to celebrate Older People’s Day.
Ravenhurst Residential Care Home, in Lickhill Road North, will be welcoming the local community for refreshments, games and art activities on Tuesday at 10am.
There will be an autumn-themed art and craft session where visitors and residents can paint or draw autumn pictures and make craft leaves for the care home’s windows.
Visitors can also join in with games on the care home’s Nintendo Wii and play board games including Scrabble and Monopoly.
UK Older People’s Day aims to celebrate the achievements and contributions that older people make to society and to the economy.
The home’s manager Anastasia Meredith said: “Older People’s Day is very close to our hearts and we are delighted to be celebrating older people and giving them the recognition they deserve.
“We wanted to host a fun, informal event for the occasion that the community can get involved in with our residents, so please do join us.”
