DRIVERS were held up at a busy Kidderminster roundabout as firefighters tackled a car blaze.

Fire crews were at the scene, at the Worcester Road/ Stourport Road roundabout, for about 40 minutes after being called at 12.05pm today.

There were no injuries and the car’s driver had managed to get out of the vehicle and call the emergency services.

A spokeswoman for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: “We used a hose reel jet and breathing aparatus and extinguished the fire.”
