Plans for KFC drive-through restaurant in Kidderminster submitted
PLANS for a KFC restaurant with a drive-through on a main road between Kidderminster and Stourport have been submitted.
Applicants QW Retail Estates Ltd want to demolish the Foley House building on the Stourport Road, between the junction with Clee Avenue and the railway bridge and replace it with a fast food outlet, a convenience store and a car park.
A planning statement, accompanying the application, states the plans would not have a “threatening impact” upon KFC’s existing store on Comberton Hill as it served “different markets”.
It added the restaurant would be covered by CCTV and the fast food firm would work closely with local authorities and residents to ensure the area around the site was kept tidy.
The plans are now before Wyre Forest District Council planning officers and a consultation period on the proposals ends on November 7.
