A KIDDERMINSTER singer who performs at charity events for Cords4Life has made it through to the regional finals of a pub chain’s singing competition.
Kerrie Worth, 25, is in the running to win £10,000 in The Horse Factor, an X Factor-style competition at the Hungry Horse pub chain.
Miss Worth will be performing on Sunday at the regional heats in Wolverhampton.
She will be representing Worcestershire and Herefordshire in a bid to make it through to the semi-finals in November followed by the national final in December.
Miss Worth said: “I’m nervous. I need as much support as I can get.
“I’m singing Miley Cyrus’ Wrecking Ball and I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston. They’re complete different styles of song.”
The full-time mother sings at various charity events across Wyre Forest for the breast cancer campaign and Cords4Life, a charity set up by Kidderminster youngster Charlie Harris-Beard’s parents after he died of Leukemia earlier this year, aged two.
Miss Worth will be performing at the Bradmore Arms in Wolverhampton at 8pm.
