Kidderminster school pupils thinking about the future
CHILDREN at a Kidderminster school have been thinking about their futures.
Pupils attending St Mary’s Primary School, in Stoney Lane, took part in “aspirations week”.
It involved youngsters thinking not just about what jobs they might like to do but also what they could achieve by having a successful job and the quality of life it could lead to.
Guests during the week included solicitors, florists, hairdressers, animators, an Army cadet and a tae kwon do instructor from the Kidderminster area.
Also attending was Joe Pearson, a trainer from Crossfit Wyre Forest, who shared his experiences of achieving his dream job.
Kate Peckham, leader of the school’s wider curriculum, said: “It was a fantastic week for the children. They learnt many new skills and had lots of fun. They were inspired by our visitors and understand if they believe in themselves they can achieve their dream.”
