A 22-year-old man is facing a prison sentence after he admitted having a knife in a Kidderminster street.

Callum Donohue, of Bond Street, Stirchley, Birmingham, was arrested at his former address in Coningsby Drive, Habberley, Kidderminster, after he walked out into the street with the knife on July 6 last, Worcester Crown Court heard.

He initially denied the charge of having a bladed article in a public place but changed his plea on November 27, the day his trial was due to start.

The offence was carried out while he was under a 12-week suspended sentence order, Adam Western, prosecuting, told the court.

Judge Abbas Mithani told Donohue the likely outcome would be a jail term but he adjourned for a further pre-sentence report until January 24 at Hereford Crown Court.
