PARENTS are being reminded that the deadline to apply for their child's reception school place is approaching.
Wyre Forest families have until Wednesday, January 15, to apply online through Worcestershire County Council's website.
A council spokesman said each year parents get caught out by not applying for their children's place before before the closing date and potentially miss out of their preferred school.
Mark Ballett, senior mainstream admissions officer, said: "The online process is not only speedier but also available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, which means parents can get together at their leisure to make their preference of schools.
"Not only that but if they change their mind amendments can be made to the application right up until the closing date and its totally confidential and secure."
For anyone who is unable to get online at home, staff are on hand at libraries throughout the district where there are computers available to use.
To make an application parents and carers should visit worcestershire.gov.uk/schooladmissions
