TWO people were arrested after drugs warrants were executed in Kidderminster.

The men were arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis with intent to supply at separate addresses in Jubilee Drive on Wednesday afternoon.

Both have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

The warrants were obtained under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Quantities of a substance believed to be cannabis were recovered from both premises, along with mobile phones and a large quantity of cash from one of the addresses.

Inspector Paul Crowley of West Mercia Police said: “Drugs, and in particular drug dealing, are a concern for residents from many of our communities, and we are committed to doing all we can to tackle these issues.

“Drugs cause tremendous harm in terms of increased crime and anti social behaviour, as well as blighting the lives of users, and their family and friends.

“By working together we will make our communities safer places. The public can play their part by passing on information about those involved in drugs by either contacting us directly on the non-emergency number 101, or by giving details anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

“We take all reports seriously, investigate them thoroughly and if appropriate act on the information provided.”
