FLAMES ripped through a flat in Bewdley last night.
The severe blaze happened at a ground-floor flat in Springhill Rise at about 10.21pm.
Firefighters from Kidderminster, Bewdley, Bromsgrove and Stourport were scrambled to the scene.
They spent four hours tackling the fire, which had fully developed by the time they arrived, using breathing apparatus and main jets.
Residents were safely evacuated from their flats by police and no-one was injured in the blaze.
Firefighters are now working with officers to find out the cause of the fire.
The fire crews returned to the scene this morning to reinspect of the site.
