A MAN has been arrested after a front door was set on fire in Kidderminster last night.

The incident, which trapped a male in the property, happened at 11.52pm in Jubilee Drive.

Fire crews from Kidderminster and West Mercia Police attended the scene.

Duty inspector Lucy Sewell, on behalf of West Mercia Police, said: "The fire service told us that a person was trapped in the house after the front door, we believe, had been deliberately set alight. All occupants have been accounted for."

A man was later arrested and remains in police custody.
