CREATIVE pupils at a Stourport school have been put through their paces at a two-day music, drama and movement workshop and performance.
Arts Insight, a national musical theatre charity, created an original musical The Game of Life – all about aspirations – with Lickhill Primary School students from Years 5 and 6 last month.
Acting headteacher Jane Lloyd said: “What an amazing opportunity it was for our children to take part in the musical in two days with Arts Insight. The energy and enthusiasm from the team was incredibly high, which ignited our students and brought out their acting and singing skills to such a high quality.
“Their musical certainly had a huge impact, not only on the participating children but also on the audience of children, parents and staff alike. Watching every single child focused, animated and acting and singing together was a cherished hour which will stay with us for a long time. The parents’ comments have been sensational and they too were overwhelmed by their children’s achievements in such a small space of time.
“I would highly recommend the Arts Insight team lead by Laura Berridge. They knew exactly how to get the best from our children and taught them skills which will support them throughout their learning and for many years to come. The materials were full of humour and fun and the whole audience were able to join in too."
