THE Rotary Club of Bewdley has elected a new president for the 2014 to 2015 year.
During a handover presentation held at Wharton Park Golf Club, outgoing president Keith Perkins fitted the chain of office to president-elect, Bob Hill.
More than 60 members, partners and friends were thereat the golf club to witness the formalities of the changeover from one rotary year to the next.
Speaking at the handover, Mr Hill said that in taking office he was hoping to reduce the average age of the club’s members, which iscurrently 68.
He hopes to do that byintroduce new events, which will encourage younger members to change their views on what Rotary is all about.
The club’sfirst event with Mr Hill at the helm will be the Dragon Boat festival on Saturday, August 23.
