A GOOD Samaritan suffered significant facial injuries after being physically assaulted with a glass object in Kidderminster town centre.

The man, who witnessed three males assaulting another man while a female stood over the incident watching and “encouraging” them, tried to help the victim and the offenders turned on him.

He was pushed over and physically assaulted but his girlfriend, who was present at the time, managed to get the first victim off the ground and to safety at a nearby taxi rank.

She suffered a broken finger in the process.

The incident took place on last Friday at around 11.20pm in the car park in front of Dunelm Mill off New Road.

Police want to identify the first victim, who did not report the assault and remains unknown.

He is described as white, in his twenties, around six-feet tall, of a slim build and with short blonde hair.

Anyone with information can contact the police on 101, quoting incident number 0371S, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
