A COOKLEY man has taken a photograph of Bewdley with a difference.

David Bareford snapped the tourist town from 500 feet while flying an air balloon on Friday, July 25 and the bird’s eye view shows Load Street, River Severn and St Anne’s parish church in all their summertime glory.

The 64-year-old said: “The weather has been quite un-British recently and this made for excellent flying conditions.

“The views of Bewdley were impressive and all the people in the town enjoyed seeing the balloon and were waving to us.”

Mr Bareford has won the British National Hot Air Balloon Championships nine times and the world title twice and is also an instructor.
