A MAN was assaulted by three unknown men in a Kidderminster bar leaving him with a head injury.

The incident took place in Yates’ Wine Lodge in Oxford Street in the early hours of Sunday, July 27.

At about 12.55am the 40-year-old man suffered a cut to his forehead after three unknown men threw punches at him, while a man and a woman he was with also suffered minor injuries as they tried to stop the assault.

Following the incident the three unknown men immediately left the bar and were not seen again.

Officers from West Mercia Police are studying CCTV footage in an attempt to identify the offenders, but they are keen to speak to people who were in the bar during the incident and may have witnessed it.
