NEARLY 150 staff from a Hartlebury-based company revved up for plans to double turnover in five years - with a meeting at the home of British motorsport.

The drpgroup - a communications firm which has its headquarters on the Ikon estate in Droitwich Road - held its summer conference at Silverstone.

The agenda ended with staff taking part in a Formula 1 pit stop challenge, in which they had to change the wheels of a car, aiming for the fastest time.

The theme for the event was Best for Business, with presentations led by group managing director Dale Parmenter.

The day focused on drpgroup's vision and business plan, with the aim of doubling business in the next five years.

A total of 148 staff - most of them from the Hartlebury headquarters but also including those from the London and Leeds offices of the company - attended the conference.

Mr Parmenter said: “Our summer conference comes at the best time of year for us to reflect on how the business is doing.

"The team is the most important part of the drpgroup and it is essential we keep them up to date with the latest news and activities of the business, giving them clear insight into the vital part they have to play in a successful future for the group.”

After the business part of the day, the team had dinner and drinks at the British Racing Drivers Club.
