A DEPARTMENT store in Kidderminster will be serving up hot drinks with sides of cake, hair and sweat as they take part in the World's Biggest Coffee Morning.

The Marks and Spencer Café, in Weavers Wharf, will be joining other organisations town-, county- and nation-wide in supporting Macmillan Cancer Support on Friday, September 26, from 9am until 3pm, as part of the annual fundraiser.

Aiming to help the cancer charity make this year’s coffee morning the most successful yet, the store will not only be offering sweet beverages and snacks, but will also be hosting a sponsored leg wax for brave employees, as well as a static bike challenge at the front of the store.

Sophie Brannagh, hospitality section co-ordinator at M&S Kidderminster, said: “The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning provides a great excuse to gather with friends, family, or work colleagues, put your feet up and enjoy a cuppa and a slice of cake and all in aid of a truly worthwhile charity.

“The event on September 26 will provide lots of fun activities for the whole family to enjoy and we hope all our customers can come along to show support for a cause that affects so many of us.”

Muggy, the Macmillan mascot will be walking around the store in the morning helping to host the event.

The Kidderminster store will join other M&S staff and customers across the country in raising money for the cancer after last year's event gathered a total of £1million, and this year throughout September, the store will be donating 5p from every coffee and cake sod in its cafés and 20p from every Victoria sponge sold in its food halls.
