A MAN suffered serious facial injuries in an unprovoked attack near a petrol station in Stourport.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the victim, a man in his 20s, was assaulted at about 1.40am near the Esso Service Station, in Vale Road, on Sunday, October 19, and had to be taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for treatment.

The suspect, to what is believed to be an unprovoked attack, was caught on CCTV prior to the incident.

He is described as a white man in his late 20’s to early 30 years of age, approximately 5feet 9inches tall with short dark brown hair and dark facial hair.

He was wearing a black leather jacket and dark top underneath which was white with a star pattern on the front.

Anyone with any information or who know the described suspect, are asked to contact West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 83s of October 19.
