WYRE Forest residents should take note of the revised rubbish and recycling collection days throughout the festive period.

The Thursday, December 25 collection will be made on Monday, December 22, while the Friday, December 26 collection will be made on Monday, December 29.

For residents whose recycling collection is on Thursday, January 1, their collection will be made on Monday, January 5.

All other collections over the Christmas and New Year period remain unchanged.

As additional side waste can occur throughout the festive season, residents are being asked by Wyre Forest District Council to put it next to their bin for collection.

The council has also placed a reminder that the waste collection will start early in the coming weeks, so has asked residents to make sure their bins are ready to be picked up by 6am.

Operational Services at the Green Street depot in Kidderminster will be open until Wednesday, December 24 from 8am to 4pm.

In extreme circumstances bad weather can disrupt collections, but the council will be posting updates on facebook, twitter, and at wyreforestdc.gov.uk/waste if there are alterations.
