TWO men accused of setting up a cannabis factory in the disused Second World War Drakelow Tunnels, Wolverley, near Kidderminster, have appeared at Worcester Crown Court.
Wayne Robinson, aged 39, of Marlpool Lane, Kidderminster, pleaded not guilty to permitting the premises to be used for producing a class B controlled drug on November 27 last year. Jason Whiley, 45, of Thorns Avenue, Brierley Hill, also denied producing 885 cannabis plants.
Robinson also denied possessing a single barrel .410 shotgun without a firearms licence or having a JCB excavator suspecting it could be the proceeds of criminal conduct.
Robinson admitted having 51 rounds of 7.62 ammunition without holding a certificate under the 1968 Firearms Act.
Judge Michael Cullum set the date for a three-day trial as October 19 and allowed the defendants unconditional bail.
