EMERGENCY services attended a crash in Clows Top in icy conditions.

Fire crews from Kidderminster attended the incident on Mamble Road, this morning (Monday, March 2) at around 5.41am, where a car, a Mazda, had crashed into a wall in treacherous, icy conditions, outside Three Countys House.

A spokesman from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, said: "The vehicle was made safe and the incident was left with the police."

Police requested for Highways to grit the A456 due to the icy conditions.

A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "The driver of the vehicle was treated at the scene.

"There were no other vehicles invovled. Damage was caused to the wall, due to impact."

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said one ambulance attended the scene and one patient was out of the vehicle on arrival and taken to Worcester Royal Hospital with back pain.
