POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a crash which has left a teenager in hospital.

The crash on the Kidderminster Road (A456) in Hagley, involved four vehicles, a tipper lorry, a white Mercedes minibus carrying disabled children, a blue Peugeot 206 and a blue Mercedes Sprinter Van, at around 8.55am on Tuesday, February 24.

A 13-year-old boy, who was a passenger in the minibus, sustained serious injuries and remains in a critical condition at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Inititally, Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said crews assisted paramedics to remove the children from the minibus and no one was trapped or injured.

A spokesman for West Midlands Amublance Service also said two ambulance were sent to the scene, but there were no major injuries and no one was transported to hospital.

West Mercia Police reopened the road at 10.40am.

All of the vehicles were travelling in the direction of Kidderminster, when the crash occurred.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen anything to call 101, quoting incident number 93 of February 24.
