A KIDDERMINSTER man will be hitting the road for this year’s London Marathon to raise money for a children’s cancer charity.
Keith Kane, will be raising money for Children with Cancer and this will be his first run as a Grandad, following the birth of his grandson after Christmas.
Mr Kane has run 11 marathons in total and this will be the fourth time he will take on the 26 miles in the capital.
This year’s race takes place on Sunday, April 26.
Mr Kane said: “I have children myself and the way I look at it is if one of my children had become ill with cancer I would have hated it, so I think Children with Cancer is a very worthy charity.
“This will be my 11th marathon, and the fourth time I have taken on the London Marathon, but this is the first marathon I’ve run since becoming a grandfather.
“I always look forward to running marathons, and my wife and one daughter are coming to cheer for me on the day.”
