A MAN has denied assaulting a woman claiming he lawfully defended himself against an attack.
Muritala Lateef, of Cathedral Avenue, Kidderminster, allegedly assaulted Susan Lateef on April 24, but at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Thursday, May 14, the 38-year-old denied the charge claiming it was an issue of lawful self-defence.
Chairman of the magistrates, Tim Morris, adjourned the case for a trial on August 7 and granted him unconditional bail to appear at the court on that date.
