A MAN has appeared in court charged with assaulting a woman in the Wyre Forest.
Scott Lewis, of Riversdale Road, Birmingham, pleaded not guilty to the offence when he came before the bench at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Thursday, May 14.
The 28-year-old is alleged to have beaten Claire Eaton on April 19.
Chairman of the magistrates, Tim Morris, adjourned the case for a trial on August 7 granting the defendant bail to appear on that date on the conditions he does not have any contact, directly or indirectly, with the victim, and does not enter Worcestershire except to attend court or pre-arrange meetings with his solicitor, John Rogers.
