A CHARITY psychic night will be held next month to help support needy children in Kenya.

The event will take place at the King & Castle, Station Approach, Kidderminster, on Saturday June 6, starting at 7.30pm.

It will feature four Midland clairvoyants and all money raised from the event will be donated to Watamu Happy House and Children’s Home and School in Watamu, Kenya.

Sarah Johnson, who is president of Kidderminster’s Beacon of Spirit Church, has organised the fundraiser and is one of the four clairvoyants taking part.

Her sister, Elizabeth Gomm, works full-time as a volunteer for the charity which works to save and transform the lives of orphaned, abandoned, abused or neglected children.

The Happy House, founded and run by former Blackpool landlady Sue Hayward, is currently home and school to 109 children, while another 160 from the local community also attend its school.

Sarah sponsors one of the youngest members of its family, Abdulmalik, aged 17 months, who was abandoned when a few months old.

She said: “This small charity is doing amazing work, and every penny raised goes directly to supporting the children in its care, so we know the money we raise will make a real difference to the lives of children. Without the Happy House these kids would have no hope.”

Guest mediums joining Sarah are Nuala Ryan-Long, Michelle Emery, Sharon Kennerley .

Elizabeth, who grew up in Far Forest and attended Holy Trinity Convent, will be there to talk more about the Happy House while singer Stacie Emery will provide entertainment.

Tickets priced £16, including a fish and chip supper, are available by calling Chris on 07968 047686, Anne on 01562 630481, Tanya on 07583 157060, Sue on 07951 889522 or Sarah on 07770 332693.
