A CHOIR from a Kidderminster primary school enthralled shoppers in Kidderminster Town Centre on a rainy Saturday morning.

The children from Heronswood Primary School, in Heronswood Road, were in fine voice and performed all of the songs which feature on their compilation CD.

In total, 33 choir children, plus an additional five children from the school, gave up a Saturday morning to be part of the unique performance. Their singing enthralled crowds of people, who stopped by to listen to the children sing.

The weather did not dampen the spirits of the pupils as they remained professional throughout and did not drop a single note during a heavy down pour.

Miss Ralph, who leads the choir, said she has seen the children grow in confidence and maturity as they stand proudly as a united group in front of large crowds of people.

The children performed a medley of songs from shows including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the Sound of Music.

Copies of the Heronswood Primary School’s choir CD is available from the school office for £8 on 01562 69750.
