VINTAGE steam engines will be on display next weekend in Stourport.

The eleventh annual Stourport Vintage Steam Rally will start on Friday, July 10, and will continue on to the Saturday and Sunday at Coney Green Farm.

On the Friday, the event starts at 8pm and will feature performances from two bands, the Starving Rascals and the Secret Cabaret.

On Saturday, July 11, and Sunday, July 12, the rally will be open from 10am until 5pm. Live bands will play during the Saturday event, with the Bravo Boys and the Mighty Persuaders taking to the stage.

New to the rally this year, the Storm Force Sledge Tractor Pulling will be located in the adjacent field north of the showground.

Refreshments will be available throughout the weekend, where there will also be a beer tent and wide variety of catering vans.

The event has grown in size year-on-year and its popularity continues to grow.

Jodie Crump, one of the event organisers, said: “On the Saturday and Sunday we have a wide range of vintage vehicles and lots of activities on in and around the arena.

“We have dog agility displays, steam engine displays, trade stalls, car boot and a fun dog show for all ages to take part in.

“New for 2015, we are having tractor pulling, which of course, is a great experience to be able to watch.”

For the show days, tickets are £6 for adults, £2 for children and under five’s are free. Family tickets are also available on the gate.

Tickets for the evening entertainment are £3 for the Friday and £5 for the Saturday.
