A KIDDERMINSTER garage will be hosting a special event tomorrow (July 24) to help raise funds for the Children’s Air Ambulance.

Fastfit Tyres & Exhausts, on Dixon Street, will be part of the nationwide ‘100 years of adventure’ road show organised by tyre manufacturer, General Tire, which is celebrating its centenary in 2015.

The whole event is also supported by Micheldever Tyres Services, which supplies Fastfit Tyres & Exhausts.

On the day, there will be a 5.5-metre long inflatable Children’s Air Ambulance helicopter, as well as a fully branded Range Rover Sport.

Raffle tickets will be on sale offering people the chance of winning an Apple Watch, a Land Rover driving experience, or a family day out.

Nick Garbett from Fastfit Tyres & Exhausts said: “It’s going to be a really fun event for a great cause. The whole team is also proud to be one of the UK garages chosen for this national road show as it demonstrates that we offer a quality service to our customer, which has been recognised by our suppliers.”

Tracy Grunwell, national partnership manager for the Children’s Air Ambulance, said: “Since the Children’s Air Ambulance was launched in 2013, we have completed over 130 vital missions, including over 85 baby transfers, but as we do not receive any government funding, so we’re really grateful to generosity of Fastfit Tyres & Exhausts, General Tire and Micheldever for supporting our cause.”
