DO YOU know who the good samaritan was who helped a vulnerable 17-year-old-boy following an attempted robbery?

West Mercia Police are hoping to trace the man who stopped two thieves as they attempted to ride off with the victim's bicycle between 8pm and 8.30pm on Tuesday, July 28, outside Kidderminster Town Hall in Vicar Street.

During the incident, two unknown boys stopped the victim as he cycled through Kidderminster town centre and asked him for the time. When the victim took his iPhone 4 out of his pocket one of the boys grabbed it and pushed him off the bicycle causing the victim to fall to the ground. The two boys then rode off on the victims bicycle.

One of the boys is described as a white male approximately 6'2" tall and of a thin build. He was wearing blue tracksuit, black cap and trainers. He also wore a scarf covering the lower half of his face.

As the two boys rode off on the victim's bicycle, a bystander who witnessed the incident managed to stop the suspects and return the stolen property to the victim.

The man who stopped the suspects is described as bald and of a muscular build. He was also thought to be wearing a vest and shorts, as if he had just been to the gym.

Police are keen to speak to him and anyone else who may have witnessed the incident. Anybody with any information should call police on 101 quoting incident reference number 722 of Tuesday 28 July.
