PLAYTIME for pupils at a Kidderminster school has been enhanced by £16,000 worth of new equipment.
An adventure play area, story circle, basketball hoop and a friendship bench have been installed in the grounds of St John’s CE Primary School.
Headteacher Lawrence Gittins said the PTA had contributed £11,000 to the overall cost of the development, which was part of a drive to improve the lunchtime experience for pupils.
“They currently go on the adventure equipment on a rota basis to ensure they all have a turn during the week and some PE lessons have also been planned using it,” he said, adding:
“The choice of equipment was guided by the school council whose members discussed ideas with their classes before agreeing the design with me.”
